Recently i’ve found that I have a change of preference over the way I eat my toast. I’m not sure why, but I guess it comes down to the rate of age increase, but I now prefer my toast slightly colder before I put butter on it. Now I know that this has been a diet tip for a long time, as cold toast absorbs less butter, and thefore you take on less fat an calories, however for me it is purely down to taste. How odd!

But the question is – wholemeal or white? I’m a wholemeal man myself, having been a white-fan for most of my giddy youth.
I know what you mean about the butter though – it’s rather nice to have it half melted. (We *are* getting old, aren’t we – toast?!!!!!)
Next: runny or set honey (set for me, except if I can get my hands on honeycombe – scrumptious!)
I tend to white as I’m not a fan of wholemeal. I do like a granary toasted occasionaly, but I prefer that for sandwiches, however recently I got very fond of a Warburtons Seeded Batch – lovely toasted!!!
Honey – not a fan, I only really use it for cooking with. Again, that said, there is a farmers market that comes to Ringwood – just down the road from us, where I buy Lemon and Orange Honey Marmalade!
