Art Attack

Rebekah - Art AttackRebekah went to bed last night and obviously couldn’t sleep… it’s an afliction she seems to get from me, we are both night owls. Anyway, we heard her moving around in her room for a while, so she was obviously up to something. When we went in to check on her later in the night we were greated by this…

Now, just in case the picture doesn’t do it justice, it’s two people lying under a parasol at the beach. You can see the beach and the sea with some sea creatures, the sun in the top corner, and she has arranged the clothing accordingly to create the people.

Doomdark’s Revenge

I just thought I’d post a progress report, because it probably seems like I’ve been sat on my arse doing nothing – which on the whole, is probably true.

One of the main goals with The Midnight Engine, was its openness… this is part of the holy grail of all game development, the data driven engine (DDE); in this case I actually think it’s particularly important.

Without You

It’s nearly 1am
as I drink salted frozen margaritas
in the bar
on the 39th floor
of the Fourth Street Marriott
in San Francisco
I search the live cityscape
for the Bay Area stars
lost in the sparkle of lights
through thousands of windows
And although I know that
the morning plane
will bring me thousands of miles back home

April Poem

Here is a poem that my daughter wrote the other day. She just sat down with her little pad and wrote her “April Poem”. She was so focused – I was really impressed as she’s only 5!

April Poem
Rebekah Wild – Aged 5

April is in spring time
Easter is in April
Easter Bunnies come and give us eggs
Spring is in April
and we love eggs
Baby lambs are born
and we see them
and we see deer
and foals.

Radiohead singer ‘snubbed Blair’

Radiohead singer ‘snubbed Blair’

So of , and band I happen to like, declines to meet with regarding Climate Change. wanted Yorke to but his views to Blair back in September. Yorke just happens to be an ambassador for Friends of the Earth.

“Initially when it came up I tried to be pragmatic. But Blair has no environmental credentials as far as I’m concerned.

I came out of that whole period just thinking, I don’t want to get involved directly, it’s poison. I’ll just shout my mouth off from the sidelines.

It’s a nasty business. It’s up to people with pure integrity who know what they’re talking about, like Friends of the Earth.”

So, Yorke, an ambassador for people of Pure integrity doesn’t want to talk about a subject that his dear to his heart with someone who ACTUALLY HAS SOME POWER!

That’ll make things change…
