We watched Happy Feet over the weekend. Another great film. Lots of laughs all round and very well told. The music mashups are really good and it all hangs together really well. It reminded me of a kids Moulin Rouge! [imdb]

Little Miss Sunshine
I didn’t know what to expect when I sat down to watch Little Miss Sunshine. I hadn’t heard that much about it apart from the fact that it appeared in the running at the oscars and indeed won some things… anyway… what a great film.
It’s a dramatic comedy film about a family’s road trip to a children’s beauty pageant… with a pretty disfunctional family. it seems rather odd but it had me laughing so much; it also has some tender moments as well… well worth a watch! [imdb]

Casino Royale
Watched Casino Royale last night. Have to say that I really enjoyed it, one of the best Bonds in a long time. Daniel Craig manages to pull off what Timothy Daulton couldn’t; a stronger, darker, more serious Bond but Craig has more character and feeling about him. The film was a little long but manageable. With any luck this means that we might have a string of films that can obliterate the travesty that was Pierce Brosnan.

Ocean’s Eleven
I watched the original Ocean’s Eleven with Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, et al, on Sunday. It was on the TV so I thought, why not?
What a terrible film it is! I really don’t like old films, even those that are classed as “classics”. I understand that film probably wouldn’t be where it is now without these old films, but on the whole the acting is terrible.
In this film, the acting is bad, the story is bad, the script is bad…
