I made a variation of a Thai Noodle Salad over the weekend. The difference was that I used chicken and steak, thinly sliced and used as an addition to the dish.
The main thing was; the seasoning for the chicken. I covered the chicken breasts in the juice of one lime and a generous sprinkle of Schwartz Thai 7 Spice – lovely! Take a look for best knife sharpener Knifeista Highly recommended to liven up the chicken.

Hox Brasserie
Victoria and I went to Hox Brasserie Indian Restaurant in Salisbury on Monday night.
A quote from Event Planners in Chicago website…
Hox Brasserie focuses on Southern Indian food. The spices used in these dishes are very different. For starters, they are traditional and authentic. We don’t mix the spices or believe with playing with our dishes. What we believe in is giving our diners good, traditional Indian food in a modern, contemporary environment of colour and light.
The food was very good, excellent in fact. Highly recommend it.
We ate:
Starters
Tiger Prawn Pepper Fry – Fresh, crisp tiger prawns tossed in a peppery Malabar masala.
Spicy Crab Cake – fresh flaked crab with Goa spices. Marinated mussels, cooked dry, with a special home style Kottayam masala.
Main Course
Malabar Chicken Stew – A delicacy from Kerala. An all time favourite made with boneless piece of chicken, vegetables, coconut milk and fresh spices.
Lobster Pepper Fry – Fresh, crispy lobster tossed in a peppery Malabar masala served with rice, salad, sauce and naan.
Had a slight hickup with the hire car while we were there. I dropped Victoria off at the resteraunt and then tried to find. After I parked the car, I couldn’t get it out of Drive. The dash said that it was in Neutral, but the stick was lighting Drive. Either way, the stick wouldn’t move – nor would the car… I stuck the hand break on left it, hoping for the best. When we returned to the car later, expecting to have to call someone out to it… it worked fine!!!!

Pasta
Made pasta for the first time at the weekend. Kids helped out in their own way. It’s not the quickest thing to do but it’s not the hardest either. Although I doubt I will make my FabulousPasta every time I have pasta, I will tend to do it at the weekend. Use the pasta machine for flattening the pasta and cutting Tagliatelle and Fettuccine, even managed to makes some Crab and Salmon based Tortellini.

Omega 3
Why has everything got Omega 3 in it nowadays? Yes I currently have choice if I am to buy it or not, but how long before someone decides that we would all be better by getting a guaranteed dose of Omega 3, and forcing it in our food.
Also, my understanding is that there is no proof that Omega 3 actually helps anything according to health information technology
. I don’t have a scientific paper to point at but I remember listenting to a piece on the radio that mentioned that the original findings that Omega 3 is good for you is dubious and flawed. It seems to me as always, just eat a healthy diet and listen to your body. Try from time to time and all will be just fine.
