Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today
2 get through this thing called lifeElectric word life
It means forever and that’s a mighty long time
But I’m here 2 tell u there’s something else
The afterworldA world of never ending happiness
U can always see the sun, day or nightSo when u call up that shrink in Beverly Hills
U know the one – Dr Everything’ll Be Alright
Instead of asking him how much of your time is left
Ask him how much of your mind, baby
Little Red Corvette
I guess I shoulda known
By the way u parked your car sideways
That it wouldn’t lastSee you’re the kinda person
That believes in makin’ out once
Love ’em and leave ’em fastI guess I must be dumb
‘Cuz U had a pocket full of horses
Trojan and some of them usedBut it was Saturday night
I guess that makes it all right
And U say what have I got 2 lose?
And honey I say

Joe DarionTo dream the impossible dream,
to fight the unbeatable foe,
to bear with unbearable sorrow,
to run where the brave dare not go.To right the unrightable wrong,
to love pure and chaste from afar,
to try when your arms are too weary,
to reach the unreachable star. This is my quest,
to follow that star —
no matter how hopeless,
no matter how far.To fight for the right
without question or pause,
to be willing to march into hell for a
heavenly cause. And I know if I’ll only be true to this
glorious quest
that my heart will be peaceful and calm
when I’m laid to my rest. And the world will be better for this,
that one man scorned and covered with scars
still strove with his last ounce of courage.
To reach the unreachable stars.

Penny Arcade
A lyric request for Gail… sorry it didn’t make it to the Lyrics site but I listed it here for you instead. And despite the fact that I left Sarah and Michael’s a little worse for wear, and then spent the rest of the night singing into the white porcelain bowl, I still managed to remember the name of the song without the need for the piece of paper that I wrote it down on! So, it only took me three attempts of asking you for the name but I stuck eventually!

Sammy King – Roy OrbisonA light shown in the night some way ahead,
blue turned into green then it was red
And stirring the night love music played
the light I saw in the night was a penny arcadeHey step up and play each machine seemed to say,
as I walked round and round the penny arcade
Just ring the bell on the big bagatelle
and you’ll make all those colored lights cascade
And music played at the penny arcade,
yes it played and it played, played all the time
Roll up and spend your last dimeAt first I thought it a dream that I was in,
lost, lost in a sea of glass and tin
But no, so dipping my hand in the back of my jeans
I grabbed a handful of coins to feed the machineRepeat chorus
Oh! repeat chorus
Roll up and spend your last, roll up and spend your last,
Roll up and spend your last dime

Lyrics are Poetry
I just setup a new blog to handle the lyrics postings. So from now on all lyrics will be posted there. I will probably make reference to updates here but it wouldn’t make any sense to double post.
It’s a bit of an experiment with a few underlying things and I still have a few rough edges to knock off but please take a look and add it to your bookmarks…
