The Moonring

This Moonring was created by the Council of the Wise to bring together the small community of Midnight related sites or pages from around the web. These scriptures are focused on Mike Singleton's classic games; The Lords of Midnight, Doomdark's Revenge, The Citadel and the unreleased Eye of the Moon.
If you would like to add your scriptures to the Moonring and meet the following stipulations...

We welcome you!

1. Joining The Ring:
If you'd like more information about what a web ring is and how they work you might consider visiting our web ring provider at WebRing.Org

  1. Your scriptures must be based primarily on either the midnight games or the midnight world and characters.
  2. Your scriptures must be functionally accurate (ie: the links should work).
  3. You agree to display the Moonring code in a prominent location within your scriptures.
  4. You understand that your scriptures must be approved by the Moonring Council of the Wise before you are activated.
  5. You agree not to place anything within your scriptures that could bring either the Moonring, the Council, or the Midnight world into disrepute
  6. You agree that during your membership with the Moonring should your scriptures fail to meet any of these conditions - your membership may be terminated by the Council of the Wise.
  7. You agree to these few conditions and are ready to move on!

2. Submit Your Site
The next step is to complete the form below. This will place your scriptures in the moonring "queue".

Keywords: Enter up to 20 keywords to aid in searching for your site.
Description: Enter a short description of your site.
 

 

3. Adding The Ring-Code
Now you need to add the following code into your scriptures. Copy and paste this code into your scriptures to advertise them in the ring. Get this into your page as soon as possible, because your scriptures will not be accepted until the Council sees that this has been done.

If you're not familiar with web code, here's a step by step process for adding the ring to your web page.

  1. Highlight the code below.
  2. At the top of the screen on your menu bar, select EDIT, then select COPY from the drop down menu.
  3. Minimize or switch to your web page editing tool. Select the location on your web page where you want the ring to be displayed. Click your mouse on that location, so the cursor is in the right place.
  4. At the top of the editing tool you should see the EDIT option on the menu bar. This time, when the drop down menu appears, select the PASTE option. This will place the code in the location you've selected.
  5. Update the code as indicated below. You'll need to change all the items indicated for your name and the site id provided when you submitted the site to the ring.
  6. Upload your page as normal and verify the code and graphic are working correctly.
  7. If you need assistance, please feel free to email the Council of the Wise for help.

4. Inform the council
Then email the council and let them know that you have joined the ring. If accepted, you will be moved from the queue and placed in the Moonring. The Council will notify you by e-mail in regards to your acceptance or denial with an explanation as to the decision. This should not take more than 72 hours with the exception of weekends, holidays or war.

5. The Midnight mailing list:
After joining the Moonring you may wish to consider joining the the Midnight Mailing List.

6. Maintaining Your Ring Profile:
If you are already part of the Moonring, and need to edit your site information, such as adding keywords and a description, changing your URL or e-mail address, then enter your site ID and password below.
